“Unwitting Collaboration”

Have a very talented artist friend. One night we were hanging out and while we were talking he was “doodling” with a canvas and some paint I had lying around.

Recently my son pulled out the finger paints and we got stripped down and finger painted over the abstract piece that was there, as well as ourselves. This is the result.

It was very primal and freeing at the same time. At first it was tough to not freak out about the mess we were making and the thought that I would eventually have to clean up and be self conscious, but once I overcame that, it quickly became a gateway to one of the best times I can remember.
