“For Doug”
October 1, 2021
Breakout the hoodies
The leaves they change
All tumble and fall
We work, we rake
Make piles
As kids jumped in them
Older now we enjoy the crisp cool air
Jack-o-lanterns glow with toothy spooky grins
We masquerade around town asking our neighbors for tricks or treats
Maybe we become closer to our true selves
But most importantly
Every year
On the 27th and 31st
It’s Keith and Doug’s birthday
